I’m a 35 year old wife and mother just trying to muddle my way through this life the best I can. Journaling has always been a passion of mine, so I thought I’d start this blog to do just that. It will also serve as a way to share updates and photos with some of our friends and family.

I’m interested in all sorts of things, so this blog will likely be a manifestation of my eclectic tastes discussing everything from politics, religion, family, music, reality TV, scrapbooking, budgeting, genealogy, photography, and organizing. Much to my own surprise I have also recently found myself interested in gardening, going to the gym, and learning how to live a healthy lifestyle. For more on that aspect of my life, you can also find me at 35 and Shrinking, where I have been blogging about my weight loss journey since September of 2009.

I have worked for the same engineering firm for the past 6 years as a draftsperson. Of course, once the housing market crashed, I had to take on other responsibilities as my co-workers were laid off. I also took a 25% pay cut. (Isn’t it great to get paid less to do more?) However, I try to be grateful everyday that at least I am still employed. I can’t say the same for my husband, an electrician, who was laid off in October.

I have no idea where this blog will lead. Hopefully it’ll be a lot like my life…never a dull moment!

Please feel free to look around and comment on anything you like.

Thanks for coming by!
